Dr. Geno

geno

I am a native San Diegan, from a mixed Asian/European descent.  Growing up in San Diego and Asia helped me to be accepting and open minded to the best aspects of both worlds.  I never see myself as being Asian or white but a blend that makes me who I am.  This is the way I see the health field.  I use a combination of many modalities and theories to create my own brand of health care in my practice.

I am a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM), with over 30 years of experience in the Holistic Health Industry. My interest in the Holistic Field started in the early 1980’s where I was studied Shiatsu (Japanese Acupressure) at a local massage school in San Diego. I went on to study further in the Eastern and Western based theraputic healing modalities. I studied; Shiatsu, Swedish Massage, Sports medical massage, Neuromuscular therapy, Chinese Medical massage (Tui Na), Trigger point therapy, deep tissue, movement therapy and myofascial therapy just to mention a few. These experiences allowed me to greatly master and grow my skills.

My treatment style comes from years of training and experience. I combine Traditional and Modern Chinese Medical systems and Science based Medical Theories and treatment to help create a whole picture when helping patients with their health goals.  My style of acupuncture is heavily based from massage background and I have an intimate knowledge of muscles anatomy, fascia and in the nervous system. I am also the co-founder of Acujn Acupuncture, through which I  bring my own uniqueness in the healing art to the general community.

I am constantly learning and would one day like to attend Osteopathic school to further my knowledge base to be a better health practitioner.

Hans

I am a California licensed massage therapist, as well as a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner with over 20+ years of experience in the holistic field. I am trained in a variety of healing modalities including Swedish, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Deep tissue, Myofascial Release, Acupressure and Trigger-point therapy, as well as Reiki.

I am an avid paragliding pilot, and a drone pilot.  I was in the corporate world for 25 years as a video game artist and worked on some big name games. I originally learned massage to ground myself while working in the corporate world.  I have found it to be spiritually rewarding.  I left the corporate world in 2013 to create and build a holistic healing practice, and have no regrets.  Seeing people come in with anxiety, stress and pain only to leave feeling calm, relaxed and their pain greatly reduced or gone, give me such joy in life.

I am passionate about the healing arts, and the work itself is extremely rewarding.

I would describe my massage style would be described as moving reiki.

I am the co-owner of Acujin Acupuncture working with a team of wellness practitioners in central San Diego.
